"Charting Their Own Course" Actor Jeff Goldblum refuses to leave money to his kids

Jeff Goldblum, the renowned Hollywood actor with a net worth of $40 million, has shared his perspective on parenting, emphasizing the importance of hard work and self-sufficiency for his children. Despite his wealth, Goldblum expressed that he won't be handing over his fortune to his kids, Charlie, 8, and River, 6, whom he shares with his wife Emilie Livingston.

In a recent appearance on the iHeartPodcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, Goldblum recounted telling his children, "Hey, you know, you’ve got to row your own boat." He believes it's crucial to instill in them the value of self-reliance and the need to carve their own paths in life. "It’s an important thing to teach kids. I’m not going to do it for you. And you’re not going to want me to do it for you," he emphasized.

Goldblum further stressed the significance of discovering one's passions and aligning them with the demands of the world. He acknowledged that even if their pursuits don't immediately align, they might have to adapt and persevere nonetheless.

Reflecting on his role as an older father, Goldblum shared his considerations about the future and the legacy he wishes to leave for his children. Despite his material success, he believes that teaching them the value of hard work and independence will ultimately serve them better than simply handing them his wealth.

In essence, Goldblum's parenting philosophy revolves around empowering his children to navigate life's challenges on their own terms, instilling in them a sense of responsibility and determination.
