In the video, which she shared on Friday evening, May 3, Teni can be seen expressing excitement upon encountering IBD Bende aboard an aircraft. She proceeded to pay respects by prostrating before him and exchanging a warm embrace.


However, her gesture sparked a wave of criticism from segments of the online community. Some pointed out her failure to extend similar courtesies to former President Muhammad Buhari during her reception of a National honor the previous year. Additionally, there were concerns raised regarding IBD Bende's alleged involvement in smuggling activities.


Responding to the backlash, Teni took to her social media platform to address the issue. She revealed that her acquaintance with the socialite dates back to 2014 when he showed her kindness, long before her rise to music stardom. She emphasized her lack of awareness regarding any illicit undertakings linked to him and reiterated her stance against supporting criminal behavior."
