Supermodel Tyra Banks reveals she had her first alcoholic drink to celebrate her 50th birthday

 


Supermodel and TV personality Tyra Banks recently disclosed that she indulged in her first alcoholic beverage to mark her 50th birthday. 

Speaking with People magazine, Banks revealed her desire to embrace new experiences and her authentic self as she celebrated her significant milestone in December. 

She recounted spending the special day enjoying a seaplane excursion with her mother and best friend in Australia, where they savored a meal alongside the alcoholic drink. However, Banks admitted feeling underwhelmed by the experience, declaring, "It wasn't worth it. I was like, 'This is nasty!'" Known for her commitment to a sober lifestyle throughout her career, even abstaining from drugs and alcohol at age 50, Banks remains steadfast on that path. 

Despite a brief encounter with alcohol at the age of 12, she had refrained from it until now. Reflecting on reaching the half-century mark, Banks expressed her surprise at the difference between her expectations and reality, remarking, "I'm poppin'. I am not insecure about myself. It feels real good." Currently residing in Australia with her boyfriend Louis Bรฉlanger-Martin and her son York Banks Asla, whom she welcomed via surrogacy in 2016, the American supermodel continues to lead a vibrant life.
