Tourist plunges 250 feet to her death into active volcano while posing for photo

  During a guided tour of the Ijen volcano park in East Java, Indonesia, a tragic incident occurred when a 31-year-old Chinese tourist, Huang Lihong, lost her footing while taking photos near the crater's edge and fell 250 feet to her death. Lihong and her husband had ascended the volcano to witness its renowned "blue fire" phenomenon at sunrise. Despite being cautioned by their guide about the hazards, Lihong ventured too close to the edge, inadvertently tripped on her clothing, and plunged into the crater.
